Currently I run the Web Development team for iVillage UK and am responsible for all technical aspects of the site.
Most of this work was carried out in the Vignette Content Mangement System and highlights include an XHTML compliant homepage, a comprehensive health calculator, which is built entirely in Javascript and can be used to clearly determine current accessibility issues, and a number of custom built quizzes.
The refreshinglife.co.uk website was built for The Coca Cola Company to give parents an idea of activities to do with their children during the summer.
The site is a prime example of accessibility in practice as there is an accessible version of the site as well as the main version. The accessible version is compliant on all major browsers and uses image maps instead of animation.
The main version of the site makes extensive use of Flash for the homepage and header elements of the rest of the site. It also uses Server Side Includes and XHTML for the page layout.
This project involved a complete redesign of the site along with a rebuild of the front and back ends. The site was constructed to XHTML Transitional standards and also meets web standards for CSS and Accessibility
Find the Grail is a game about finding the Holy Grail. Users have to work out where in the world the grail is hidden and work their way throw the theories to succeed in their quest.
You can discuss the quest on the grail blog but make sure you don't give the location away, many people have died trying to find the whereabouts of the holy grail!
